Sacred Geography - Spatial quantification
Given that the aforementioned parallelogram is composed of two congruent triangles, both pairs of opposite sides being parallel and where the sides and corresponding angles are equal, it becomes evident that this configuration can be verified through geometric measurements of the spatial terrain in question (Figure 9).The technique of the present work has consisted in establishing a point of reference, generally in the southeast vertex, from where the survey control grid is brought over a cruciform axis.Given the historical and religious importance of the city of Cholula, we believe that anciently there occurred at its main pyramid as an orientation point, that which constitutes the southeast vertex of the quadripartite plane.
